Numbered art portfolio by Italian illustrator Zoe Lacchei, devoted to the visual transformations and stage personae of Marilyn Manson. The project originated from thirteen illustrations created in April 2004 for the Marilyn Manson gold disc associated with The Golden Age of Grotesque. The works were subsequently collected under the title Marilyn Manson: Metamorphosis, The Art of Zoe Lacchei. The portfolio presents Manson through a series of elaborate gothic, grotesque and cabaret-inspired compositions. The illustrations combine religious imagery, anatomical mutation, death symbolism, fetish fashion and references to historical art and cinema. Although closely associated with The Golden Age of Grotesque, the concept is broader, interpreting the continuing evolution of Manson’s image rather than reproducing the artwork of a single album. The set is housed in a black folding presentation case with red and white typography, internal pockets, loose colour art prints and a multilingual introductory booklet in Italian, French and English. The acknowledgement page names Marilyn Manson, manager Tony Ciulla, Universal Music Italy and several international fan organisations and reference sites. This example bears the handwritten number 0081 on an oval Zoe Lacchei label attached to the reverse of the case. No total edition size is known. The portfolio was publicly presented at Romics in December 2005. It represents an important early publication in Lacchei’s career and an uncommon artist-produced Marilyn Manson collectible with a direct connection to the visual culture of the Golden Age of Grotesque period.
